Kansas City's American Heartland Theatre in Crown Center celebrated a milestone anniversary on April 1st, 2012. For 25 years AHT has been a "... theatre for entertainment; a theatre that belongs to the people of Kansas City." These are the words of the theatre's late founder Jim Assad, at the opening night performance April 1, 1987.

On Monday, April 9th AHT held a celebration for season subscribers. Nearly 400 patrons joined AHT staff and actors for cocktails, cake, and a backstage tour of the theatre. Local actresses Jessalyn Kincaid, Colleen Grate, Liz Clark Golson and Sarah Goeke serenaded the guests with songs from this season's holiday show, The Marvelous Wonderettes.

The 25th Anniversary Season continues with As Long As We Both Shall Live, May 4th through June 17th, 2012 and BINGO A Winning Musical, July 6 through August 19th, 2012. For a complete listing of season information, show dates and/or to make reservations, visit www.ahtkc.com.
