Broadway Plus is the leading artist booking platform, VIP experience, and corporate event planning company for Broadway. Utilizing a multitude of different sales channels and capabilities, the company helps Broadway fans connect with theater in dozens of new ways that go far beyond just seeing a show. The Broadway Plus team is made up of approximately 20 dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who strive for excellence when sharing their own love of theater.
THE ROLE:
Seeking a dynamic, organized, and motivated individual to assist an Executive and coordinate social media for Broadway Plus. This position requires an organized, creative problem-solver who learns quickly, retains information, can anticipate needs, and is intuitive with decision making. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with social media and can organize and create content. Additionally, the candidate must be a responsible and reliable assistant in both personal and administrative tasks.
This position requires consistent travel from September 2021 – August 2022. The Executive is performing in a National Tour and the assistant will travel with them. This is a non-traditional travel work setting, with nighttime and weekend hours. The ideal candidate should thrive and remain organized in a fast-paced, on-the-go setting.
There is room to learn some required skills on-the-job for the right candidate. This job has the potential to transition into a competitive marketing or sales position within the company, depending on initiative shown during the initial contracted year. The ideal candidate is someone eager to learn and sees themselves in a future position with the company down the road.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Plan and execute content calendars for all company social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Linked-In, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.). Use social media management tools to track upcoming posts.
- Create and write dynamic content for social media. Source and edit videos for TikTok and Instagram (using Final Cut Pro). Write on-brand captions in the company “voice” for social media posts. Source and create blog-style and Buzzfeed-style content. Answer and manage DMs.
- Maintain ongoing research and effectively stay on top of current social media and theatre trends. Regularly create detailed presentations on Broadway news and company analytics
- Work closely with the Executive to provide administrative support. Anticipate needs in advance of meetings, daily tasks, and ongoing projects. Communicate effectively with different departments and implement as necessary. Take notes during meetings, ensure all tasks and follow-up initiatives are implemented.
- Assist Executive with ongoing personal tasks including but not limited to: running errands, coordinating travel arrangements, packing suitcases, arranging hotel check-ins, driving when necessary, managing appointments, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work, collegiate, or internship experience and a strong knowledge and love of the theatre industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience using all social media platforms; creating TikTok videos, using Instagram story features (polls, questions, swipe-ups)
- Creative experience writing blogs, captions, or articles.
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite, iPhone, and Mac; basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro (or willingness to learn) – must edit videos for social media. Must be intuitively tech savvy and willing to self-strengthen further tech skills.
- Proactive, flexible, self-starter who has strong problem solving, social, and communication skills (oral and written). Willingness and ability to learn new skills quickly and efficiently.
- Intuitive research/ Google skills (reading articles to learn about products, reviews, experiences) and retaining information. Ability to ongoingly create strong presentations on research findings.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace on the go, juggling between phone and computer. Managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and working efficiently with meticulous attention to detail. Time management is a must.
- Experience traveling (for business or pleasure) is a plus. You’ll be constantly managing travel for the Executive and yourself.
