The Old Globe seeks a dedicated and diligent individual for the position of Ticket Services Director for this renowned theatre in San Diego’s beautiful Balboa Park.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Ticket Services Director is responsible for the management of the ticket services department including the management of 15 full and part-time ticketing employees, with the goal of providing exceptional customer service experience to patrons when making ticket and/or subscription purchases, or requesting information by phone, in person, or online.
The Ticket Services Director will develop and implement processes and training to execute all ticketing needs, monitor patron satisfaction, and work with the marketing department to maximize efficiency and communication with all subscribers and ticket buyers.
The Ticket Services Director is responsible for season-building, executing all Tessitura ticketing and pricing setup tasks, overseeing preparation and execution of renewal and ticketing mailings, and working with the IT department to optimize the use of the ticketing system and website for ticket sales.
The Ticket Services Director will establish and maintain a structure for the hiring, training, coaching, and evaluation of the ticketing staff to optimize performance and overall productivity of the department. Position will actively participate in the management of the ticket office, providing motivation and support to staff assisting patrons. A successful candidate will promote teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of ownership among staff members while maximizing efficiency.
Strong management, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills are required, as well as 5 years of box office management or equivalent experience. Tessitura ticketing software and subscription experience required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
