TITLE: Tessitura Database Administrator
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt, Year-Round
LOCATION: Hybrid within 3-hour driving distance from Becket, MA

COMPENSATION: $65,000 - $75,000 (GRADE 5) (less applicable tax withholdings)

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Tessitura Database Administrator Provides leadership for the organization in its use of the Tessitura CRM software. This position ensures the effective utilization of Tessitura across departments, spearheads data-driven initiatives, and provides system support to enhance operations and meet organizational goals. The role requires collaboration with all departments, offering guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and staff training to optimize the use of Tessitura and its integrated applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides management and support for all Tessitura operations across departments.
Researches, plans, manages projects, and troubleshoots Tessitura upgrades, including leading planning for the use of new features, creating testing plans, and conducting staff training as needed.
Coordinates implementation and maintains documentation of third-party application integrations with Tessitura and ongoing maintenance and support, including accounting website, bulk email platforms, school applications, wealth screening applications such as WealthEngine, and others like Shopify as available from the Tessitura roadmap and suited to Pillow business needs.
Supports Marketing Staff in the administration of TN Express Web application and all web customizations, by being the main point of contact for support needs and maintenance of all system documentation.
Maintains awareness of industry trends and practices in the use of Tessitura and advises the organization regarding changes and enhancements that will improve operations.
Interfaces with external and internal user groups, to facilitate implementation of best practices and user training.
Works with Tessitura Support staff and consultants to troubleshoot database issues and maintain and update customizations to Jacob’s Pillow’s environment.
Creates custom reports and modifies existing reports according to business needs.
Coordinates planning, scheduling, and implementation of third-party data imports such as NCOA updates.
Consult with all departments, gathering user requirements for new initiatives and business processes, and recommending best use of Tessitura to support initiatives.
Oversees data entry and tracking, reports, list management, extractions, and other tasks as assigned for cross-departmental Tessitura use through coordination with lead system users.
Assists staff with the generation of lists, advanced data extractions, custom reports, and ad hoc queries.
Develops training programs for optimization in all departments.
Investigate and address support issues concerning the Tessitura RAMP application; submit RAMP tickets on behalf of staff, as needed.
Supervises NSCAN installation, maintenance, and support.
Updates system tables, as needed.
Manages users and security. Enhances security groups and assigns access rights to ensure confidentiality and system integrity.
Performs regular data integrity checks and promotes activities, including duplicate reduction across departments.
Helps departments enrich data through routine quality assurance and data imports.
Provides regular functional supervision and training to Tessitura users in each department.
Regularly convenes staff with primary use responsibilities in all departments.
Manages Google Shared Drive database implementation.
Creates and maintains documentation concerning system configuration, best practices, and data entry. and integrity, as well as procedures specific to Jacob’s Pillow.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs additional duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum 5 years experience working in enterprise database administration and/or development, preferably with the SQL Server platform.
Prior experience with major CRM fundraising databases and major ticketing databases, including system conversion, reports and analysis, and data configuration.
Prior experience in Tessitura administration.
Knowledge of business process analysis.
Knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, or other related tools.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.
Demonstrated prioritization and project management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to create training materials and procedural documents.
Demonstrated ability to write clear technical documentation.
Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through influencing and coordinating inter-departmental work.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with third-party applications integrated with Tessitura, such as Accountingware (accounting), Prospect2 (bulk email platforms), Acceptd (school applications), WealthEngine (wealth screening), Shopify, and others as suited to business needs.
Knowledge of TN Express Web (TNEW).
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Office setting: includes sitting, standing, bending, and moving. Ability to move equipment, up to twenty-five pounds across campus for various needs with or without assistance.
