Summer Teaching Artistry & Stage Management Internships - Nashville Children's Theatre

Summer 2024 Internships



Nashville Children's Theatre is seeking dedicated college students to serve as interns for in-person summer camps of 2024.





Available Internships:



- Teaching Artistry Internship: The Teaching Artistry Summer Internship offers college students and early-career professionals a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in theatre education, creative drama, and artistic administration. As valuable members of the team, interns will serve as teaching assistants alongside NCT’s professional Teaching Artists. Teaching Artistry interns will be compensated with a honorarium of $375 per week. Recognize this position as a learning experience, equivalent to a robust college course. Do not view it as a summer job, approach it as an opportunity for personal and professional growth, complemented by a weekly honorarium for your dedicated efforts.



- Stage Management Internship: This internship provides paticipants with hands-on stage management experience. This intern will serve as stage manager for the Junior Artists Company and Kids Company Productions. The Stage Management intern will continue their learning in stage management, working in a fast-paced environment while managing the different responsibilities of working with young artists (ages 8-14). Stage Management interns will be compensated with a honorarium of $425 per week. This stipend is different than the Teaching Artistry internship to account for the weekly shift listed above as well as to cover time spent in design meetings, after-rehearsal meetings, tech, prop work, etc. Recognize this position as a learning experience, equivalent to a robust college course. Do not view it as a summer job, approach it as an opportunity for personal and professional growth, complemented by a weekly honorarium for your dedicated efforts.
