Position Overview
Join us in the summer of 2024 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking proactive and detail-oriented Stage Managers who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists. As a Stage Manager, you’ll play a major role in managing the production of on-campus student productions.
What You Get To Do
Stage Managers perform the stage management functions for their assigned student theatrical production.
Stage Managers work closely with their director, run production meetings, and maintain communication between departments
They develop and maintain a prompt script as applicable through the audition and rehearsal process for assignments as necessary
This individual provides structure, calls the show as applicable, and works directly with student performers for assignments as necessary
Occasional need to assist with dance and guest artist productions
Collaborate with fellow stage management team members to support the overall mission of the Theatre Division

What You Need
Availability 6/20/24 - 8/6/24
Prepared to live in a dorm with a roommate or nature cabin setting
Significant relevant experience is required
Graduate and upper-class college students preferred
Must be an efficient at multitasking
A collaborative, creative spirit is required
Valid driver’s license is required
Position requires someone who is self-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment
Applicants should have an extensive working knowledge of and experience in stage management practices and methodologies
Ability to read music is necessary for stage managers working with the musical productions
Must be able to handle a rigorous work schedule including nights and weekends
