Sound Engineer - Ignite Theatre Company

Ignite is urgently hiring an experienced sound engineer to participate in our production of Elf the Musical; set to perform at the Grandel Theater December 15-18, 2022 . Tech week is December 5-14, 2022.



We prioritize working with people who can identify audio-related needs, develop creative solutions to those needs, and ensure the execution of those solutions. Specifically, we are seeking someone who can confidently run up to 30 body microphones, and execute sound cues/music tracks for final rehearsals & performances of the production. This position is filled from production-to-production; with time commitments flexible depending on contractor commitment. Preferred candidates will be available for recurring production meetings throughout the rehearsal process, load-in, all tech-week rehearsals, as well as performances & strike.



Pre-Requisites:



A dependable vehicle or other mode of transportation

Ability to lift up-to-50lbs

Willingness to coordinate with Ignite vendors/contractors

Dependable understanding of scenic design and an ability to communicate design elements in a visual way

Dependable understanding of carpentry

Ability to coordinate with Ignite's Staff & identify performance/equipment needs

Ability to work with children of all ages and their families.

Must pass a background check.
