Sound Designer / Engineer - FDU production of A Class Act - The Theater Department at Fairleigh Dickinson uNIVERSITY

Seeking a sound designer/engineer for a production of A Class Act at FDU School of the Arts in Madison NJ.



The successful applicant will program, set up, manage and mix 14-16 wireless microphones for actors plus microphones for a live band (including additional inputs) using our in house system which consists of a Midas M32 Digital Board and a mix of Audio Technica ATW-T1001 and Sure QLXD1 microphones and receivers.

The successful applicant will guide FDU students in wireless mic placement, sound effect design and q-lab operation. They will be required to attend:



A designer run (date TBD),

4 Rehearsals from 6:00pm-10:00pm (Monday November 27th - Thursday November 30th)

2 Technical rehearsals 10:00am-10:00pm (Saturday Dec 2nd and Sunday the 3rd)

3 Dress Rehearsals - 5:30 - 10:00pm (Monday December 4th- Wednesday Dec. 6th )

4 Performances - Thursday Dec 7th at 10:00AM (this is a preview followed by an evening rehearsal which may or may not require sound support), Friday Dec 8th at 7:30PM, Saturday the 9th at 7:30, Sunday the 10th at 2:30
