Social Media Manager - Filmed Live Musicals

Filmed Live Musicals is seeking a freelance Social Media Manager. www.filmedlivemusicals.com is a database of stage musicals that have been filmed and made available to the public. The site has info on 180+ musicals from around the world and dating back to 1938; a bi-monthly podcast; and a weekly newsletter with info on upcoming streams.



Past podcast guests include Tony nominees Brenda Braxton and Paul Gordon, Emmy nominee Kenneth Ferrone, triple threat James T. Lane, Allegiance writer & producer Jay Kuo, Broadway choreographers Barry Busby and Richard J. Hinds, composer/performer Lourds Lane, and more! 



You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the Filmed Live Musicals social media accounts by creating and posting original text and video content, responding to followers, and assisting with the development of promotional campaigns.



You must:

- Possess an excellent knowledge of musical theatre, and especially have a keen interest in musicals filmed live on stage



- Be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, and be able to create engaging content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms



- Be able to strategize and create engaging and dynamic campaigns to promote Filmed Live Musicals and its various projects



- Have excellent communication skills and be able to convey excitement for the world of stage musicals on screen.



- Be able to work independently, and in close collaboration with the Filmed Live Musicals team



- Be organized, efficient, and able to work to set deadlines



Crowdfunding experience is a plus.



Pay rate is $20US per hour. First phase will be up to 5 hours a week with potential to grow into an on-going part-time position. This is a remote position.
