Seeking Sound Designer - Retro Productions

Retro Productions is seeking a SOUND DESIGNER for their upcoming AEA Showcase Code (approval pending) of ON THE VERGE by Eric Overmyer directed by Sara Thigpen.



THIS IS A STIPEND ONLY SHOWCASE PRODUCTION. All actors and creatives receive an equal stipend of $250.



The production goes into rehearsal August 7th (evenings and weekends) for a September 9th opening. Relevant dates include Load In September 5th (please note: this is Labor Day), Tech Week September 5-8, Opening September 9th running through closing September 24th (12 performances total), and Load Out September 25th. You will be asked to participate in pre-production meetings over zoom, to be scheduled at the groups convenience.



This production rehearses and performs in Manhattan.



Seeking a highly creative and organized sound designer who is well versed in QLab. This play is a fantasy of time travel and looks at the ways language and mores change over the decades. It places particular attention on the ephemera of American life, including advertising and travel, consumerism and fashion. This is not a playlist and doorbell kind of play - we are seeking creative soundscapes. Think of this as a collage of sound.



FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION IS REQUIRED.
