Submissions Open for 2026 Savannah Musical Theatre Festival - Savannah Repertory Theatre

Savannah Rep collaborates with bold artists to create theatre that reflects the values of our region. By championing innovative storytelling, we provide space where diverse voices thrive, inspiring future generations and using theatre as a catalyst for community transformation. After a successful launch in 2025, Savannah Rep is thrilled to announce the second season of the Savannah Musical Theatre Festival, a three-day celebration of brand-new, never-before-produced musicals. The festival brings together writers, composers, audiences, and industry professionals to experience original works in concert-style readings with live music and minimal staging. Led by Producing Artistic Director Natasha Drena and Founder/General Manager Jenn Bishop, this is the only festival of its kind in Georgia’s Lowcountry, joining the ranks of established new musical festivals in cities such as New York, Seattle, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Selected works will be showcased in September 2026. Applications for the 2026 Savannah Musical Theatre Festival opened September 18th, 2025 and close December 1st, 2025.
