PISS PRINCESS: A SHITTY MUSICAL FABLE



When Princess Frankie of Sewer City is flushed away by The Evil Clog, she must rediscover who she truly is and find her path to destroy the evil plaguing her kingdom. Along the way she makes some new friends, learns what’s truly important in life, and gets into some nasty shit! Follow along this unconventional musical adventure written by Easton Michaels, Jonathon Michael Osgood, and AJ Smith.

Seeking:



[THE BALLADEER] 20’s-30’s. Masc identifying. Must be proficient in Guitar. The Balladeer acts as the narrator for the story. Plays gigs in a pub in The Underground.



[FRANKIE] 20’s. Femme presenting. Frankie is the central character of the story. She is charming, but also takes shit from nobody. Prefers to keep a low profile, until she finds out about her fate.



[ENS 1/THE GENIE] 20’s-30’s. Any gender. This character is a member of the ensemble and doubles as the Genie. The Genie takes pleasure in confusion and never gives a straight answer to Frankie. Magical and Mysterious. OFFER OUT



[ENS 2/THE GREAT CLOG] 20’s-30’s. Any gender. This character is a member of the ensemble and doubles as The Great Clog. The Great Clog is the evil entity that has taken over the Underground. Extremely egotistical and over the top.



[ENS 3/RUBY THE RAT] 20’s-30’s. Femme identifying. This character is a member of the ensemble until Ruby is introduced. Ruby is an extremely intelligent rat from The Underground. She takes shit from nobody. A fighter. Protective. Puppeteer experience is not necessary. OFFER OUT



[ENS 4/TAYLOR] 20’s-30’s. Any gender. This character is a member of the ensemble until Taylor is introduced. Taylor is a plumber from Pittsburgh/ “the Aboveground”. The Sewers are a new experience for Taylor, so they should feel naive as they navigate this new environment.



[ENS 5/GEORGE/BRAYDEN STOOL] 20’s-30’s. Masc identifying. This character is in the ensemble and doubles as George and Brayden. George is Frankie’s loving father. Brayden is a rabble-rouser, a local Pissburg teen.



[ENS 6/TAFFY/TINSLEY TINKLEBERG] 20’s-30’s. Femme identifying. This character is in the ensemble and doubles as Taffy and Tinsley. Taffy is Frankie’s loving mother and Tinsley is a local Pissburg brat. CAST



[ENS 7/AMBER DINGLEBURRY/GREASEBALL GRETA] 20’s-30’s. Femme identifying. This character is in the ensemble and doubles as Amber and Greta. Amber is a local Pissburg brat and Greaseball Greta is a pub owner in The Underground. Greta is heavily based on Trisha Paytas’ pub tik tok videos.



[ENS 8/CRUSTY MIKE/ SLIMEY SAL] 20’s-30’s. Masc identifying. This character is in the ensemble and doubles as Mike and Sal. Mike is the leader of the Pissburg teens, and Sal is a regular pub goer who likes to gamble. Rough. Tough.



Please note, while some of the character’s are written within the gender binary, please feel free to change pronouns and keys of songs wherever you see fit to make the most sense for your production. We highly encourage those who identify outside of the gender binary to audition. This show is all about rude humor and acts as a middle finger to serious musicals. It should be AS CAMP AS POSSIBLE. Our references span from Arthur and the Sword to Trisha Paytas’ Tik Tok… It’s ridiculous. Please submit even if you feel you may not fully fit a role, we want to meet you!

2. SCENES AND SONGS



- EVERYONE: Please submit 32 bars of a comedic musical theatre song



- FOR BALLADEER: Please submit a tape self-accompanying yourself on guitar while singing to demonstrate proficiency, does not have to be comedic or musical theatre



- FOR GRETA GREASEBALL: Please also submit your best Trisha Paytas impression in addition to your vocal tape. This does not need to be formally filmed with a slate. This can be a selfie video if necessary. We won’t judge!



3. THEATRICAL RESUME

- Submit your tapes by Wednesday, June 26th at 11:59 pm ET (NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED)





Salary:



$50 stipend paid out after the end of the performance (cash or virtual)
