Derrick: 25-35. Rip’s oldest friend and rival. An aristocrat. Owns the Tavern, and most everything else. Believes Rip’s wife married beneath herself. Singer, Dancer, Actor of Color.

Herman: 18-25. Suitor to Rip’s Daughter Alice. Thinks of himself as the best catch in town. Headed for New York to make his fortune. Singer, Dancer, Actor of Color.

Knickerbocker: 18-25. Also Suitor to Rip’s Daughter Alice. The School Teacher. Sharp with his wits, and his sword, if necessary.
