Aurora Productions is seeking a Production Coordinator to join our growing team as we head into an exciting 2024/2025 Broadway season. The position is integral as the base of communication to our production management team and our clients. An eligible candidate is someone with great attention to detail, can multi-task, and prioritize tasks by level of importance or urgency while being a positive and outgoing representative of our firm while doing so.
The Production Coordinator should be comfortable with scheduling production meetings, budgeting and familiar with the process of loading in and load out shows as well as how they run. Our firm’s focus is on Broadway, Off-Broadway or Touring, but unique projects in other spaces arise as well. Candidates should have a working knowledge of the local one contract with the Broadway League and Nederlander Theatres and the IATSE pink contract both on paper and in practice for Broadway and Touring Productions. A candidate is someone who understands the intricacies of working in a Broadway theater and be comfortable both in an office and in theater setting such as coordinating and overseeing a production load out in the theater.
The Production Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining all paperwork including calendars, budgets, tech riders, and staffing grids, alongside the Production Managers.
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating training of all pink contract substitutes with our Senior Staff and Production Managers including but not limited to pulling pink contracts for training and subbing as well as creating and maintaining all crew time off calendars that are distributed to our productions monthly.
The Production Coordinator supports the Senior Staff and can be their proxy when needed. This may mean a covering an evening preview performance or a daytime theater call as needed, but the majority of the job will be office based. The Production Coordinator closely liaises with the President and the Vice President on long term planning as well as their personal schedules.
The role of Aurora Productions within the theatre community is ever evolving and the duties of the production coordinator may change over time based on the needs of our firm and our clients. The long-term goal for fulfillment of the position is for the Production Coordinator to become a member of the senior management of the firm and, as the role develops, Aurora in turn hopes to cultivate the role utilizing strengths that the Production Coordinator brings to the Aurora team.
Starting Salary is $75,000-$95,000 per year with health care, 401k matching and profit sharing as per company policies.
