The Public is seeking a temporary Patron Programs Assistant. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to donors, as well as exceptional administrative and ticketing support to a busy Individual Giving team.
This is a temporary, hourly position at 30 hours a week. Hours may vary during peak production periods. Qualified candidates must be able to commit for an engagement of May 1st to September 1st, 2023.
The ideal candidate will be organized, excellent at tracking projects, an outstanding communicator, as well as having administrative experience in database organization. This is a hybrid role, and we expect this person to be in office Tuesday through Thursday of each week. Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Stewardship
Process all Trustee, Partners Desk, Supporters Desk, and Broadway House Seat emails in a timely and accurate manner. Including:
Ticketing all donors for Public Theater, Joe’s Pub, and Shakespeare in the Park productions
Responding to customer service issues and information requests
Handling auction Vouchers for Shakespeare in the Park
Securing Broadway House Seats for donors $10,000+ and the Board of Trustees
Track reservations and ticket orders for all donor events
Process drink tickets for all Patron Programs
Administrative Support
Support the Individual Giving Team with the execution of all in-house solicitation or stewardship mailing campaigns.
Fill out gift forms for donations.
Record information on donors (CSIs, contact details, steps plan) in Tessitura to aid in improving relationships and customer service.
Support data hygiene in compliance with defined standards
Update all Bad Address records in Tessitura.
Manage Individual Giving inventory of marketing and stationary materials.
Requirements:
At least one (1) year of office experience, ideally in a fundraising or box office setting.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing and unpredictable schedules.
Ability to manage time appropriately, identifying priorities, and work efficiently with attention to detail.
Proficiency in fundraising database software (Tessitura a plus!)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Outstanding communication skills, especially in writing.
Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
Knowledge of the Public Theater’s Mission and Programming a plus!
This is a non-exempt, temporary role according to The Fair Labor Standards Act with an hourly rate of $20. Position is available immediately. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of in-office on Tuesday through Thursday of each week. Please include a cover letter along with your resume.
