North Texas Performing Arts (NTPA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the character of youth through quality performing arts education and family entertainment. NTPA’s vision is to light the passion of the performing arts for our youth, and ensure all youth have the opportunity for the profound experience of taking the stage and having their voices heard.
Responsibilities:
5) RESPONSIBILITIES: You will successfully complete in a professional manner and upon generally accepted standards on behalf of the North Texas Performing Arts – Frisco the following activities:
a) Assume management of the daily operational and creative processes of NTPA –Frisco theatre and be responsible for the smooth-running and successful execution of its operations under the guidance of the VP of Youth Theatre Operations.
b) Be accountable for all NTPA – Frisco operating affairs and make monthly reports to the Management Board and Governing Board of Directors.
c) Serve as the primary point of contact for the NTPA – Frisco and attend all regular and special meetings of the Management Board as a non-voting member and all meetings of the Governing Board of Directors.
d) Work in cooperation with the VP of Youth Theatre Operations and the Management Board to engage volunteers to help fulfill the mission of NTPA – Frisco.
e) Identify and research new programs for NTPA – Frisco including new outreach opportunities within FISD, Little Elm ISD, and Prosper ISD.
f) Work with the VP of Youth Theatre Operations to plan and execute the operations of NTPA in accordance with the By-Laws and policies of the Board.
g) Work with the VP of Youth Theatre Operations to develop an annual strategy for accomplishing the objectives as developed in accordance with NTPA management.
h) Work with the Director of Marketing to serve as the primary contact for information and communications for Dallas shows. Ensure timely and accurate content is provided to marketing and publicized for all auditions and productions.
i) Assist in fundraising efforts on behalf of NTPA – Frisco including establishment of corporate partnerships, development of fundraising vehicles, and increasing membership.
j) Serve as the supervisor of North Texas Performing Arts artistic directors hired for NTPA – Frisco shows.
k) Work with the operating executive, VP of Youth Theatre Operations, Business Manager, and Treasurer of the Governing Board of Directors to develop, administer and adhere to the annual budget, making tactical decisions for its implementation.
l) Ensure NTPA students, teachers, patrons and volunteers adhere to NTPA procedures and policies.
m) Ensure the safety and well-being of the students, staff and patrons of NTPA.
n) Work with the VP of Youth Theatre Operations, Frisco Program Committee and Management Board to ensure that future programs are fully and completely created, vetted and published in a timely and effective manner. Maintain a minimum 12-month rolling-forward program calendar.
o) Follow guidance and direction issued by management in a professional manner. Provide day-to-day reporting to VP of Youth Theatre Operations.
p) Consult the Frisco Management Board and volunteers to fulfill the mission, fully utilizing their talents.
q) Attend the NTPA Senior Staff and Resident Director Meetings.
r) Perform other duties and activities not specifically prescribed on behalf of the best interests, health and well-being of NTPA and its operations, students, patrons and staff.
s) Maintain a professional public profile in-person and on social media. Remain neutral regarding religious, political and controversial topics on NTPA platforms or other public forums connected to NTPA through professional association, or maintain separation of professional and personal accounts and contacts.
t) PROGRAM DIRECTOR is not eligible to engage in other personal acting or film opportunities without permission from the CEO.
u) Program Director will be reimbursed for expenses while working on behalf of NTPA including mileage at the federal mileage compensation rate current at the time of the expense occurred for theatre related travel and not to include travel to and from home. Other expenses must be within the approved budget.
v) It is anticipated that the Program Director will expend minimally 20-25 hours in fulfilling the responsibilities of Program Director for NTPA – Frisco and additionally will direct no more than 8 shows a year.
Salary: $35,000-$45,000
