Managing Director - Alley Theatre working with Management Consultants for the Arts

Alley Theatre seeks interested and talented candidates to serve as its next Managing Director. The next Managing Director will join one of the strongest theatres in the country. At a time where many regional theatres are struggling, The Alley Theatre is a vibrant organization, artistically and financially. There is a high-performing staff and a deeply committed board of directors. The Managing Director co-leads the Alley in partnership with the Artistic Director and reports directly to the Board of Directors. Compensation Amount

The annual salary range for the Managing Director starts at $375,000 and includes a generous benefit package commensurate with other organizations of its size, including:

• Family health/dental/life/disability/vision insurance plans; medical deductibles are fully paid by Alley;

• A 403(b) plan with a 5% match from the Alley;

• Paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, and personal days;

• Expense budget.

The hiring decision will be made by a search committee of the Alley’s board and staff members. They hope to make a final decision in Q1 of 2025, with the new Managing Director onsite as soon thereafter as possible.
