Signature Theatre is an artistic home for storytellers. Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home, producing several productions annually. In 2005 Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices.

Position Summary

Signature Theatre, one of New York’s leading Off-Broadway theaters, is seeking a Lead Ticket Services Representative. The Lead Ticket Services Representative reports to the Ticket Services Manager. The position is part-time and non-exempt with a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.



Responsibilities

With guidance from the Ticket Services Manager and support from the Ticket Services Associate Manager, the Lead Ticket Services Representative will:

• Work in call center, box office, and concierge support tasks.

• Guide and train team in using the Tessitura ticketing system including but not limited to reporting and global messaging updates and other Tessiture administrative tasks as needed.

• Work closely with Signature Theatre’s Ticket Services Manager on strategies to reach and increase sales goals.

• Work closely with the Signature Theatre Development Department to increase contributed income through add-on donations, up-sales, and other initiatives.

• Process single tickets, subscriptions, group sales, exchanges, special events, and any other ticketing needs.

• Process exchanges and refunds.

• Troubleshoot ticketing and customer service issues.

• Maintain relationships with our loyal audiences and seek opportunity to convert and attract new audiences.

• Respond daily to Ticket Services email inquiries.

• Assist to execute special projects for the department as assigned.



Desired Skills and Experience

• Two years’ experience in a ticket services/box office environment using Tessitura or a similar CRM database.



Compensation

Lead Ticket Services Representative is a part-time (15-20 hours a week) non-exempt position. The hourly rate of pay is $20.00 per hour. Hours worked that exceed 40 hours in a work week will be paid at the overtime rate of $30.00 per hour. Sick pay and personal paid time off hours are accrued.
