General Press Agent, at Lincoln Center Theater:
Lincoln Center Theater has produced over 200 plays and musicals at the Vivian Beaumont, Mitzi E. Newhouse, and Claire Tow Theaters at Lincoln Center and other theaters on and off-Broadway, as well as touring productions nationally and around the world. LCT is committed to developing and producing new works and classics with an emphasis on the work of new and emerging playwrights, directors, and designers. LCT’s education program, Open Stages, reaches thousands of public-school students annually with curriculum-related projects, teaching artist support, and tickets to LCT productions.

Position Summary:
The General Press Agent will direct and lead all press initiatives and promote all of Lincoln Center Theater’s productions and programs. The General Press Agent will oversee the Associate Press Agent, and Press Associate, where applicable.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, execute, and manage LCT’s publicity plans for all productions as well as for the institution at-large
· Maintain credible and long-lasting relationships with members of the press
· Keep up to date on emerging trends in theater, journalism, technology and social media
· Integrate LCT’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility values and commitments in all facets of Press activities
· Cultivate and maintain media contacts in order to generate positive and relevant stories, interviews, and other coverage
· Actively participate on the advertising/marketing/publicity team for every production
· Oversee the archiving of all press clippings, videos, radio/internet, and photo libraries
Position Requirements and Experience:
· At least seven years of experience working in Press or Public Relations, at the associate management or management level
· Demonstrated PR leadership skills and ability to guide the vision and goals of Lincoln Center Theater
· Ability to work collaboratively across all departments, incorporating LCT’s DEI values in every facet of the process
· Outstanding communication skills and ability to convey the organization’s activities with equal clarity to the media and the general public
· Broad knowledge of live performance of all mediums and genres, theater history, American playwrights, and the contemporary theater landscape, both in New York City and regionally
· Institutional theater experience is preferred
· Current member in good standing with the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers (ATPAM) preferred
