YALE SCHWARZMAN CENTER at Yale University is seeking candidates to serve as its Executive Director. The Executive Director, in close partnership with the Deputy Director and the Associate Artistic Director, is responsible for ensuring that Yale Schwarzman Center is a vibrant, cultural, and intellectual hub for the Yale community and offers a rich annual program that reflects the needs and interests of Yale University students and academic programs, implementing this program efficiently, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. They will need to execute programs to support the shared vision and mission of Yale Schwarzman Center to enhance student life and the arts on campus.

Yale Schwarzman Center (YSC), established thanks to a generous gift from alumnus Stephen A. Schwarzman, leverages dining, conversation, and the arts as part of students’ educational experience, convening people across schools, disciplines, and communities for moments of discovery and connection. YSC is the University’s center for student life and the arts, providing a vibrant artistic, social, and intellectual hub with daily activities that are a magnet for students and others from around the University and major, periodic events that will unite the entire community. Situated at the center of campus in the historic “Commons” complex built to commemorate the University’s bicentennial, the Center is the only space on campus of its size and scale. Programming at Yale Schwarzman Center has two main components: 1) an events program that brings diverse and exciting performances and presentations to Yale; and 2) a student-driven aspect that provides a home for the full range of student activities from all of Yale’s 15 schools.
