We are looking for a Part-Time Executive Consultant to help shepherd our innovative live-arts production company into its next phase of growth. We’re looking for a self-starting, business-minded individual with an excellent work ethic, terrific organizational and written/ oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and significant capacity for problem-solving and flexibility in these unpredictable times. The ideal candidate will have an optimistic, can-do attitude, 3 + years’ experience managing complex projects and coordinating diverse teams, and an affinity for our mission. Workload is 20 hours per week. Compensation: $20/ hour. This is currently a contract position that may evolve into a more full-time, salaried position. Six-month minimum contract (renewable).
No specific arts-related experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with the following proficiencies and experience:
3+ years’ experience in an administrative leadership position
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Outstanding ability to manage detailed planning and scheduling, with a micro- (project-by-project) and macro- (year-long) lens
Knowledge of, or willingness to quickly learn: Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), general workings of social media platforms (Insta, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok), WordPress (for simple website updating), Canva and Trello
Honed ability to command a room, to balance delegation with personal responsibility, and to keep collaborative teams moving forward according to thoughtfully- and realistically-designed plans.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting RealTime leadership in strategically implementing production, programming, marketing and fundraising initiatives to increase efficiency, brand visibility and growth.
Creating, updating and overseeing execution of schedules and workflow: for individual projects, overall season, administrative maintenance and grant deadlines.
Serving as central communications hub for RealTime: fielding and organizing emails, connecting with community partners, donors, consultants, Board and other RealTime stakeholders as needed.
Refining and managing data and office organization (with intern support), including maintaining production and press archives; donor and grant databases; filing system; and nonprofit paperwork.
Increasing company visibility through press and networking opportunities: overseeing writing, proofing, and/or sending out press releases, serving as press liaison, engaging in communication with press; attending meetings and workshops on behalf of RealTime.
Other tasks: Occasional project- and field-related research; updating website when necessary; organized management of project records (tax forms, reimbursements, etc).
