Join our team! Orlando Repertory Theatre (“Orlando REP”) is seeking an Education Intern for the 2020-2021 season!
The Orlando REP staff strives to create a comfortable atmosphere for growing and learning while you hone your professional skills and build your portfolio under our wing. Interns at Orlando Repertory Theatre not only get a one-of-a-kind experience from a professional staff; they also have unique access to industry professionals from Disney, Universal, and other leading organizations through networking and career counseling workshops. Interns also benefit from complimentary tickets to Orlando REP productions during their stay. Housing is not provided.
In addition to providing administrative support with the daily operations of the Education Department and its staff, the Education Intern will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects throughout the season. Projects may include researching and creating show dramaturgy, assisting or teaching in our Youth Academy, Arts and Character Training, or Field Trip Plus workshops. This internship provides exposure to Sunshine State Standards, professional youth productions, Arts Integration workshops and seminars, community focused arts experiences, and the development of Education Department programming. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience, strong researching and writing skills, an understanding of arts administration, and is comfortable working with children, teachers, and parents. This internship is based on a 40-hour work week and the intern receives a weekly stipend of $175 to assist with living expenses.
Internship dates are August through May.
