Directing Fellowship - Asolo Repertory Theatre

Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, FL (LORT B Mainstage, LORT D Second Stage) seeks Directing Fellows to serve as assistants to Asolo Rep’s main stage directors for its 2021-22 season productions. Directing Fellows will serve as Assistant Directors for assigned mainstage production. Primary duties include assisting the directors with all day-to-day rehearsal and performance responsibilities. Other projects include partnering with Stage Management to facilitate understudy rehearsals, directing readings for Asolo Rep's Ground Floor Series and collaborating with other departments on the creation and execution of audience engagement events.



Fellowships are full-time experiences that include a stipend, essential local transportation, and travel. Shared company housing inclusive of private bedroom, internet and basic utilities within 6 miles of the theatre is provided for $200/week.

Stipend: $550/week

Average length of typical Directing Fellowship: 4-6 weeks given our current rep schedule





Candidates for the positions must have a master's degree in directing or 2-4 years equivalent experience. Asolo Rep is mandating Covid19 vaccines for all company members unless there is a qualified exception for medical or legal reasons.
