Tentative Start Date: ASAP The Digital Marketing & Media Relations Associate is responsible for enhancing Florida Studio Theatre's (FST) digital presence and public relations efforts. This role includes managing social media channels, engaging in media relations, and executing digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and skilled at building engagement across multiple platforms while fostering relationships with the media. Key Responsibilities: Social Media Management: · Develop and execute FST’s social media strategy across platforms (Facebook and Instagram) · Create engaging, high-quality content (posts, photos, videos, stories) in alignment with FST’s brand and objectives. · Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster community interaction. · Analyze and report on social media performance, using insights to optimize content and campaigns. Email Marketing: · Assist in planning and execute email marketing campaigns using Constant Contact and WordFly, including a weekly newsletter, event promotions, surveys, subscriber campaigns and more. · Design email templates, craft compelling subject lines and collaborate with marketing team and literary interns for fresh show content on a regular basis. · Analyze and monitor campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates) and data to optimize future campaigns and provide regular performance reports. Media Relations: · Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets. · Draft press releases and pitches to promote FST events and productions. · Coordinate media coverage, interviews, and press events, ensuring timely and accurate communication. · Track and archive media coverage to maintain a record of press appearances. · Greet press when they arrive to review theatre shows Public Relations Strategy & Outreach: · Support the development of public relations strategies to increase visibility for FST productions and events. · Proactively manage FST’s public image through strategic PR efforts. · Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and other partners to enhance FST’s visibility and outreach. · Represent FST at community events and engagements as needed. Qualifications: · Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field, or professional experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, public relations, and/or content creation, preferably in the arts or entertainment industry. · Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, and email marketing (Knowledge of Constant Contact and WordFly a plus). · Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. · Familiarity with media relations and building relationships with press contacts. · Experience with paid advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and analytics tools (Google Analytics). · Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. · Knowledge of Tessitura is a plus · Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements include: · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Familiarity with theater or the arts is a plus, but not required.
