DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D theatre located in the heart of downtown Sarasota, FL with an annual operating budget of $10.5 million, seeks an experienced Development Manager to support the implementation of FST’s strategies that advance our mission. They will be part of ensuring revenue goals are met for various fundraising areas. The position works directly with the Artistic and Managing Director and reports directly to the Director of Development.
Responsibilities include:
• Support or lead the implementation of campaigns and events with the Director of Development.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Development office.
• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of foundations and oversee grants management.
• Oversee the small and large gift campaigns
• Manage the stewardship of all donor accounts within the Tessitura database.
• Conduct prospect research and analysis to identify new major donors and participate in strategy sessions for cultivating gifts.
• Participate in the planning and execution of multi-year special project campaigns including capital, legacy, and endowment.
The ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator the ability to communicate information verbally confidently and clearly and in writing that are effective with a diverse range of audiences including board members, staff, donors, and potential funding partners. A familiarity and a passion for the performing arts. The ability to interact well with major gift donors and prospects. CRM database experience, preferably Tessitura or other fundraising software. Flexibility to work several nights and weekends as needed. One should have great time management, organizational and leadership skills with a minimum of three years of fundraising experience. FST currently operates five stages, the 173 seat Keating Theatre, the 237 seat Gompertz Theatre, the 109 seat Goldstein Cabaret Theatre, the 110 seat John C. Court Cabaret Theatre and the 100 seat Bowne's Lab Theatre. In addition, FST owns and manages 18 residential properties in downtown Sarasota for guest artists.
Salary $65,000-$85,000 (Commensurate with experience)
