Creative Opera Artist/Composer for Baseball Safety Campaign - Foul Ball Safety Now

FoulBallSafetyNow, a national campaign advocating for the extension of netting at baseball stadiums, is seeking a passionate and creative individual to collaborate on a unique opera performance. We are looking for someone who loves baseball and wants to make a difference by addressing the issue of fan safety at ballparks. The ideal candidate will create and perform an opera piece that presents a compelling narrative about the lack of regulations around foul ball safety, focusing on the dangers of high-speed foul balls that have injured fans throughout baseball history. This performance will creatively address the urgent need for extended netting in stadiums and will become a central piece in the FoulBallSafetyNow campaign. Responsibilities: - Watch provided videos and content related to the FoulBallSafetyNow campaign - Create an original opera piece that highlights the dangers of foul balls and the campaign’s mission - Collaborate with the campaign team to refine the performance - Perform or record the opera piece to be used in promotional materials Requirements: - A passion for both opera and baseball - Strong storytelling skills through music and performance - Ability to creatively present important safety issues in a compelling manner - Experience in opera performance and composition is a plus Application Process: Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter explaining your interest in the project and any relevant performance experience.
