Raue Center School For The Arts (RCSA) is thrilled to be launching its 2025 Season of productions and is looking for a skilled, self-motivated Costume Coordinator to join our team for the RCSA production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition. Costume Coordinator should be a self-starter and an excellent collaborator with the creative team members.
The Costume Coordinator, with the assistance of a parent support committee (if needed), will oversee costumes, hair and makeup for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition. Job overview includes the following:
Costume Coordinator Responsibilities:
Oversee costumes, hair and makeup with the assistance of a support committee for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: High School Edition.
Collaborate closely with the director to create, brainstorm, and plot the overall look and feel of the show.
Research the specialized looks of the characters and match the overall theme of the show.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of Harry Potter, based on the books and films, to assist in creating a design based on the look/style of the original but SHOULD NOT be necessarily copied. Costume Designer should approach the show in a way that they create their own feel and look.
Assist student cast members in pulling looks together from students’ personal wardrobe if needed.
Supplement additional costumes by pulling from stock or purchasing when necessary, working with a budget.
Attend production meetings, designer runs of the show, dress parades, tech and dress rehearsals, and fittings.
Act as the liaison between the director and stage manager if there are costume ideas, specific look questions, costume measurement arrangements, costume fitting arrangements, etc.
Oversee the parent support committee (if needed), parents who will assist as directed with the costume acquisition, alterations and purchases.
Oversee and plan out what sort of make-up and hair requirements there will be along with the assistance of a support committee. The potential candidate will also collaborate with the director on vision.
All designers will need to participate in strike, immediately following the final performance (Sunday, June 29th).

Auditions & Rehearsal Dates: Auditions & Rehearsal Dates: March 17th – June 29th, 2025
There will be time off during this long process and we will work around things like Spring Break, Prom, Graduation, end of school year events. Rehearsals will begin with perhaps 2 - 3 times a week and then gradually move into more nights as we get closer to the summer.
Show Dates: Thursday, June 26 @ 7 PM | Friday, June 20, 27 @ 8 PM| Saturday, June 21, 28 @ 2 PM & 7 PM | Sunday, June 22, 29 @ 2 PM
