Signature Theatre, one of New York's leading off-Broadway theatres, is seeking a CONTENT PRODUCER for The Pershing Square Signature Center on West 42nd Street.
Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home, producing six to eight productions annually. In 2005 Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices.

Position Summary
Signature Theatre is looking for an enthusiastic, full-time multimedia creator who is ready to bring the institution to its next level of content creative, and eager play a role in shaping the future of Signature’s look as we prepare to launch a new brand and visual identity.
The Content Producer reports directly to the Assistant Director of Marketing and works closely with the Marketing and Artistic teams to develop Signature’s institutional and production media content. The primary role is overseeing the marketing execution of institutional and artistic vision through media content, balancing industry best practices, forward-thinking creative work and brand continuity. Projects include producing and implementing media on all Signature’s platforms and channels, including but not limited to video capture and editing, graphic design, copywriting and photography. In addition to being a full-time member of the Marketing team, this role will meet regularly with and report to the Artistic team on goals and strategy for our content.
Responsibilities
• Create dynamic, multimedia content for institutional and show marketing campaigns
o Capture, edit, and deliver all video content, including but not limited to interviews with artists, production b-roll, special events, and virtual events.
o Deliver content optimized for various platforms and campaigns.
Create select graphic, video or animated content for institutional branding, production marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns and more.
o Work closely with Assistant Director of Marketing to develop content strategy for optimal reach and engagement
o Conduct creative brainstorms between Marketing and Artistic departments
o Develop and communicate content execution plan for each production marketing campaign, development campaign, and SigSpace events
o Photograph select special events and milestone moments for productions and the institution
o Actively research new digital media trends and generate new content ideas
• Develop dynamic and creative media for Signature productions and new brand visual identity
o Develop templates and guidelines for team and institutional use
o Create assets for all on-site digital and print signage
o Inaugurate Signature’s SigSpace presence and develop content brand identity across Signature’s social media platforms
• Manage asset archive and deliver assets when other internal departments and approved external contacts request them
• Serve as point of contact for freelance artists hired for content deliverables
o Manage scheduling of production photographer, and lead production photo selection process
o Execute and supervise production artwork iterations across website, social media and marketing campaigns
o Guide production artwork development process with designers
• Serve on digital operations for SigSpace, in collaboration with Director of Artistic Programs
o Collaborate to develop and communicate execution strategy for each live event and virtual event capture
o Serve as video tech for certain livestreaming operations
o Post-live capture editing and distribution, and promotional collateral
Desired Experience
o A demonstrable high degree of videography and editing capability
o Experience with Creative Suite, or similar software, with proficiency in Premiere and experience in Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator
o Skills in HTML/CSS a plus
o A knowledge of, or a passion for, New York arts and culture
o 1-2 years in a creative role or institution, or in a non-profit setting

o Highly creative in multiple mediums and artistically driven
o Skilled at creative project management, and able to navigate competing deadlines
o Detail oriented with an eye for continuity
o A desire to impact growth within a non-profit arts institution
First round interviews will be scheduled beginning January 25. There will be an estimated 2-3 rounds of interviews. We will be aiming to make an offer for this position by February 10, with a desired start date no later than March 8. This position must be able to have flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for content capture and must be able to report in person in the office Tuesday–Friday and work remotely on Mondays (exceptions may apply).
This is a full-time salaried exempt position with an annual salary of $50,000.
