The Company Manager is a full-time, part-year, salaried position that works January to September. They work out of the New York City or Williamstown office from January through April, and out of Williamstown, MA from May - August. A remote arrangement might be considered prior to required in-person work beginning in Williamstown in May (some travel to/from NYC and/or Williamstown may be necessary in the winter and early Spring). They serve as the ambassador of the Festival, welcoming all seasonal participants each summer and ensuring the well-being and care of the entire Festival community, while exemplifying the professional expectations that the Festival requires of them.
The ideal candidate is an enterprising individual with excellent project management skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for the performing arts.
KEY PRE-SEASON DUTIES:
Curate, manage, and maintain relationships with local housing, travel, and hospitality vendors
In collaboration with the Administrative Assistant, oversee all housing needs at the Festival, including private artist housing leases with local homeowners
In conjunction with the Associate Artistic Director and Director of Audience Engagement, work to recruit applicants for seasonal positions at the Festival
Hire and onboard seasonal Company Management team members
Create and disseminate offers and contracts for Equity members
Compile and distribute seasonal information and summer welcome packets, including soliciting local businesses to showcase their offerings
Coordinate all seasonal fleet vehicle rentals, arranged through Enterprise
In conjunction with other Festival staff, work to develop a COVID safety plan and source testing and PPE
Work with the Director of Finance and Line Producer to develop and stay within the Company Management budget
SUMMER-SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Oversee and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Company Management office
Oversee arrival and departure days for all company members
Act as the liaison with various departments at Williams College, specifically Conference Services and Campus Safety Services
Manage and track Williams College swipe cards and housing keys
In conjunction with other Festival staff, work to implement and ensure a COVID safe and compliant workplace, including coordinating weekly COVID testing
Ensure Equity contract requirements are fulfilled as pertains to member benefits, such as housing, grocery shuttles, etc.
Oversee all travel (for all individuals for which travel is provided) to and from the Festival
Oversee the cleaning of all private housing and any dorms, as needed
Coordinate weekly linen rentals that are provided to all Equity members
Assist the Director of Audience Engagement with fulfilling industry house seat requests
Manage actor and creative team contractual holds and ticket requests, and be in attendance for curtains to assist the Box Office with artist ticketing concerns
Provide on-site day of show artist services support
Ensure all employee concerns are addressed with Human Resources
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
Create and maintain a company-wide contact sheet and database
Draft and disseminate any company-wide communications (not inclusive of Daily News e-blast)
Proofread company listings in digital programs and signage
Report on company management activities as requested or assigned
In conjunction with the Director of Audience Engagement, Line Producer, and Director of Production, maintain a relationship with The WTF Guild, specifically assisting them with fulfilling company hospitality needs and artist requests
Manage all requests for service animals housed at Williams College
Organize and plan company picnics and other events to maintain company morale
Complete other duties as assigned
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to quickly craft and deliver clear, accurate, and engaging messaging in both internal and external communications
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact well with a variety of personalities and individuals including staff, donors, artists, and VIPs

High level of computer aptitude and proficiency in Google Workspace software is required
Familiarity with Actors Equity union rules and regulations is required
Familiarity with Box Office ticketing systems is preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced theatre environment is preferred

Compensation includes complimentary housing on the Williams College campus for the summer months.
