Community Engagement Associate - Broadway San Jose

Broadway San Jose, A Nederlander Presentation, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Community Engagement Associate with a strong background in community relations and event planning, to serve in developing and implementing community engagement campaigns for both the organization itself, and nationally touring Broadway shows and concerts. This position (located in San Jose) will report directly to the Marketing Manager, and work with the Public Relations, Sales and Ticketing teams to establish campaign initiatives.

The candidate should also have strong writing and speaking skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a multi-task, fast-paced, productive, inclusive, and diverse environment.



Primary Duties

Oversee the administration of the annual Rita Moreno Awards, the local arm of The National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy Awards).

Manage the logistics for the Broadway San Jose Annual New York Trip

Coordinate all in-house events including but not limited to Season Launch Party, Opening Night Parties, and Kids Night on Broadway.

Enhance efforts with business-to-business and community outreach initiatives through our Dining Partner and Community Partner programs.

Manage all donation requests

Help in generating compelling social media campaigns for Broadway San Jose and its live theatrical productions.

Provide support to the Marketing Manager as needed.



Requirements

Minimum of three years of experience in community relations and or event planning.

Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staff in a fast-paced environment

Available to work selected nights and weekends during show weeks

Some occasional or conference travel may be required

Work Schedule: Full-time / 40 hours a week

Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $58,000+ Commensurate with Experience
