Job Type:

Full time, non-exempt; 35 - 45 hours per week.

Starting Compensation: $15 - $17 per hour depending on experience. Standard overtime rates apply.

Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life Insurance upon 60 days employment. 120 hours of Paid Time Off annually.

Reports to: Head of Production





Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with fellow Scenic Carpenters, Scenic Artists, and Electrical Engineers to fabricate, install, and maintain props as directed by the Head of Production, Lead Carpenter, and Lead Design Engineer.

Maintain a clean work environment.

Use Company provided time tracking systems in order to accurately track time spent in the shop as a whole, as well as time spent on each individual project.

Continually strive to improve Red Door+rsquo;s production techniques and best practices.





Required Qualifications

College degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency with standard hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Experience with framing, millwork, and finish carpentry(theatrical, residential, or commercial).

Ability to comprehend standard architectural draftings and translate them into tangible products.

Knowledge of industry standards. Including but not limited to adhesives, fasteners, building materials, and terminology.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Ability to travel during new location installs. Approximately 2 weeks at a time, 4 times per year.

Adherence to all Red Door mandated safety procedures and protocols.





Desired Qualifications:

CNC machining.

Foam carving.

Welding.

Ability to create tangible products using only verbal descriptions or minimal documentation.
