JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of VP of Experience & Engagement, the COVID Protocol Manager serves as the MPAC operational point of contact for all COVID-19 related matters and a key member of the COVID Taskforce. Additionally, the COVID Protocol Manager will work with external users of the building to ensure compliance with safety protocols and coordinate adjustments to the plan in order to meet specific requirements of the organizations using the facility as long as they are compliant with MPAC’s current protocols.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stay current on all COVID-19 related information from various resources and organizations (public health, municipal governments, venues, unions, etc.)
• Review protocols and instructions to ensure alignment with current regulatory needs for MPAC’s COVID safety plan on a continuous basis
• Report issues and risks to business leadership, flagging opportunities for mitigation and action to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our staff, vendor, audiences and artists
• Communicate with external parties, such as artists/vendors, to ensure COVID compliance and understanding for internal/external group expectations. Administer and collect COVID safety protocol information from artists and residents in advance of event to ensure understanding of needs; disseminate this information, as appropriate, to ensure MPAC staff meets expectations
• Monitor controls and metrics to ensure MPAC standards are met
• Serve as a resource for questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 protocols
• Work with MPAC Directors/Managers to administer training on COVID-19 protocols & safe work practices
• Respond to COVID-19 staff and artist concerns
• Work with the marketing communication team to ensure communication is in alignment and up-to-date with protocols for staff, artists and patrons
• Monitor/track vaccine requirements and work to ensure standards are met
• Ensure all participants and personnel comply with facility standards and requirements.
• Provide relevant information to Health Authority personnel including contact list, and any other requested information.
• Make recommendations to MPAC Executive Team regarding modifications, restrictions, postponement, or cancellation of events and/or activities due to evolving COVID-19-related outbreaks or emergencies

Education and Experience
• High school diploma and five years of business operations or related experience, an associate degree and 2 years of business operations or related experience or bachelor's degree and one year of business operations or related experience.

• Understanding of the complexities of performing arts venue and the roles of staff within such venue
