Penguin Rep Theatre, a nonprofit, professional theatre located in Stony Point (Rockland County), New York seeks Box Office Assistant for immediate hire.
The Box Office Assistant is responsible for assisting patrons with ticket purchasing and delivery, and providing information pertaining to the venue and/or event.
Responsibilities:
• Process phone, mail, online and Box Office sales of tickets and member subscriptions.
• Process purchases through various methods; including cash, credit, checks and gift certificates
• Assist customers using ticketing software
• Assist with guest management
• Distribute tickets
• Process ticket exchanges
• Assist patrons with seat selection
• Resolve issues as they arise, and escalate concerns to management when necessary
• Respond to inquiries related to show and ticket information
• Provide information on productions via phone, email and in person at the Box Office
Job Requirements:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of technology.
• Detail oriented
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends
