Position Overview
AADA is currently looking to fill this position at the NYC Campus with an applicant that fulfills general knowledge to all aspects pertaining to production and performance work. A specialized skill toward sound and lighting and the corresponding equipment involved with those disciplines makes for the most qualified candidate. Applicant should have excellent communication and listening skills, be adept at quick problem solving, and very well organized. Applicant must have the ability to realize projects in timely manner and within very finite and specific timeframes.
Ideal candidate will bring imagination, flexibility, and the ability to possess grace and humor under pressure. Prior experience in the performing arts is required with references provided.
Position is full time employment. Salary is an hourly base with overtime and other benefits.
Job Responsibilities
*Assisting PM in scheduling of meetings and recording minutes for all meetings and distribution of Information to all interested parties
*Assisting in all technical needs within AADA productions which does include lighting plot restorations, assisting sound designers in their initial Tech set ups and sound needs on productions, as well as day to day requests that come into department for all classes and special events.
*Work closely with Production Manager/Resident Set Designer on the scheduling,
supervising, and fulfilling all needs on productions.
*Assist with load ins and strike.
*Assist in the maintaining equipment and facilities as needed.
*Be on hand for specified performances or see to coverage for those performances.
*Imagination, flexibility
*Perform other duties as assigned
AADA is an accredited 2 Year Conservatory with a 3rd Year Company producing up to 12 mainstage productions in our three theaters, 12 Styles shows, and 12-16 Graduation shows a year between August and April.
