Compensation: $1000/week with opportunity for advancement based on performance
Package: 10 paid vacation days. Healthcare stipend after 6 months employment.
Work Schedule: full time, 5 days per week (Thursday-Monday evening schedule with Tues/Wed off)

The hit Off-Broadway comedy, Drunk Shakespeare, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our leadership team! This position functions as the Manager on Duty when the General Manager is off, and otherwise supplements the operations team during performances.
The ideal candidate has several years of creative and managerial experience in the performing arts. This role includes:
~ Assistant Manager of The Ruby Theatre at 35 w 39th Street, New York, NY
~ Assistant Manager of “Drunk Shakespeare” in New York, NY
Experience Stage Managing or Company Managing is a plus!
We are seeking a supportive leader, who is comfortable working alongside the General Manager and autonomously executing their responsibilities. Since the Assistant Manager covers on the Managers’ days off, they also must be capable of creative and common-sense problem-solving, managing a team of 5 to 10 people. This is an open-ended full-time position.
The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager in NYC and creative team based in New York including: Producer (Scott Griffin) and Directors (David Hudson & Lisa Klages).
Assistant Managerial Duties include:
~ Responsibility for maintaining all aspects of the venue and production. This includes creative content, patron experience, food & beverage experience, venue maintenance and ticket sales
~ Managing, Training and Scheduling all cast, crew and other staff
~ Participating in job interviews and hiring decisions
~ Employee performance management, including discipline and staff terminations
~ Ensuring professionalism, discipline and morale of the team
~ Running operations of each performance, including running simple technical elements and minimal show cues
Creative Duties include:
~ Maintaining world-class performance quality
~ Supporting Company morale
~ Daily notes to cast and crew based on creative goals
