Job Summary



Paper Mill Playhouse is seeking an organized individual with excellent communication and supervisory skills to fill our full-time Assistant House Manager position.



Successful candidate will assist House Manager with the daily Front of House Operations with the goal of assuring a positive, comfortable, and safe theater experience for all guests from their arrival until departure.



Responsibilities:



• Provide excellent consumer service

• Liaise with parking attendants and traffic guards

• Train and supervise large team of ushers

• Oversee front of house to ensure a safe and secure environment

• Assist audiences in the use of a variety of accessible services provided

• Manage housekeeping staff and provide emergency backup if needed

• Monitor HVAC climate control

• Direct front of house volunteers

• Respond to unexpected problems including medical emergencies



Qualifications:

• Proactive, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a sense of humor

• Good listener with an ability to problem solve

• Compassionate in nature

• Ability to stay calm in high pressure situation

• Flexible schedule able to work weekends and evenings

• Willing and committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion with an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds

• Willing to provide emergency back up in areas such as house keeping

• Physical ability to lift heavy items

Annual Salary: $ 38,000
