The Old Globe seeks an Arts Engagement Producer for a full-time position The Arts Engagement Producer will be a key player in developing, producing, and evaluating arts engagement programs that align with The Old Globe’s mission to make theatre matter to more people.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to designing and developing a range of arts engagement programs (including Community Access Month and Mainstage Performance Arts Engagement workshops specifically;) supporting casting and providing onsite support for AXIS, Community Night for Powers New Voices and other performance-based projects; producing Globe For All tours; collaborating with artists, educators, and community partners to create impactful and inclusive programming which align with The Old Globe’s strategic goals and mission; oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of arts engagement projects and events from conception to completion; managing project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively; coordinating with various departments (production, marketing, development, etc.) to ensure seamless program delivery; build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for The Old Globe in the community, fostering partnerships and collaborative opportunities; conducting outreach to diverse communities to increase participation and engagement in programs; supporting the Development and implementation of evaluation tools to measure the impact and effectiveness of arts engagement programs; collecting and analyzing data to inform program improvements and demonstrate impact; preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders; leading and mentoring arts engagement staff and volunteers; fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a minimum of 5 years of experience in arts engagement, community outreach, or program management, and experience in developing and producing successful arts engagement programs. A minimum of one year of experience working in the arts, preferably with a theatre company is desired. Successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; a passion for theatre, and a commitment to The Old Globe’s mission of making theatre accessible to all. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or fluency in multiple languages a plus. Familiarity with the San Diego community and its cultural landscape is also preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for occasional business use; must be able to pass applicable background check.
Salary range is $66,560 - $68,640. This position is full-time with benefits including 401(k).
