Ogunquit Playhouse Arts Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, CARPENTER for their 2023 Summer programming. The Ogunquit Playhouse Arts Academy dedicates itself to the continuing development of programming that will both teach and inspire youth looking to follow a path in the Arts. This is a paid position and is part of the core Arts Academy Staff.

First Day of Employment: Monday, June 12, 2023
Last Day of Employment: Sunday, August 13, 2023
Ideal Candidate must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment. Professional Theatrical Carpentry skills are necessary.
Job Duties/Expectations include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with a Scene Shop Team of 10-12
Fabricate scenery for all Arts Academy sets produced by the Ogunquit Playhouse
Install and test scenic elements and equipment in shop & theatre
Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of power tools, scenic theatrical carpentry, and theatrical rigging
Must be comfortable working at heights and able to lift/carry 50 pounds
Experience in welding is a plus
Assist load-in/strike
Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude in the workplace
Compensation: $18/hour, with overtime and housing included.
