GEVA THEATRE CENTER (Geva) in Rochester, NY seeks a highly creative, collaborative, and community-minded leader to serve as its next Artistic Director as it approaches its 50th Anniversary Season in 2022. The Artistic Director will be a true partner to Geva’s Executive Director in producing the highest quality artistic offerings and continuing an essential dialogue with the Rochester, NY community that has supported the institution for close to half a century. As the company’s guiding voice for theatrical creation, the Artistic Director will delight in leading and building dynamic teams of artists and have a deep commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive culture where a diversity of ideas and perspectives thrives. The Artistic Director will have great talent as a producer and will be interested in presenting stories that will inspire, challenge, delight, and deeply engage audiences already part of the Geva family and those who will continue to be welcomed into a dynamic and energized theatrical experience. Building upon Geva’s commitment to new works development and production, the Artistic Director will be keenly interested in forming strong relationships with actors, directors, writers, and artisans who will collectively shape a bold vision for the future grounded in a full embrace of the community that Geva exists to serve. The incoming Artistic Director will be intent upon listening to the community and finding new appealing entryways to programming that will resonate with an increasingly diverse base of patrons and supporters. The salary range starts at $160,000 annually and includes a full benefit package.
