A2 Needed for That Parenting Musical

“That Parenting Musical'' a 90 minute sung-through musical comedy in two acts, follows the journey of two new parents as they figure out who they are and how to adapt to life with two babies, from birth to first grade. The score features a wide array of musical styles, from doo-wop to hip hop, Gilbert and Sullivan patter to 80’s rock, Motown to musical theater. The Production is accepting application submissions for the A2 position. 

Typical Performance schedule is Tuesday at 7p, Wednesday at 2p & 7p, Thursday at 7p, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2p and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm. 

Key Dates: Contract begins: Aug 28th, 2024 Tech: August 29 - September 4th, 2024 Previews: September 4th - Sept 11th, 2024 Opening: September 12th, 2024 Closing: Open Ended 

All candidates should possess technical experience in the appropriate department, a working knowledge of show running/maintenance, and prior experience on load in crews. Physical requirements of the job may include standing, bending, lifting, climbing short ladders, and using stairs. We are willing to train the right candidates from non-traditional backgrounds. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: - Assist with installation of seasonal sound systems in the theatre as well as hanging the individual show sound plots including but not limited to speaker placement, mic setups and cable runs. - Assist with setting up rehearsal studio sound systems as needed - Assist with pre-show checks and post show procedures for all audio equipment, including assisted listening systems, backstage monitors, house and backstage paging systems, cue lights, headsets, video cameras and monitors - Assist actors with getting into and out of wireless mics as necessary - Build and maintain wireless mic rigs for the actors as needed - Keep the sound storage areas clean and organized 

Qualifications: - Must be a strong problem-solver, and have the ability to work under time pressures - Must have experience in mixing live productions. - Must have a thorough understanding of technical audio, including experience in programming digital consoles. - Must have experience in tuning/engineering microphones, including strong experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment. - Must be cheerful, adaptable, and willing to work together with the entire production team in the safe, timely, and faithful delivery of the production. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. - Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Enjoy a fast-paced environment with frequent changes - Committed to safety, professionalism, and a growth mindset - Ability to work in New York City 

Wages and Benefits: These are full time, non-exempt positions with specific work rules. - W-2 Employees, all appropriate taxes withheld. Direct Deposit available - $800.00, paid weekly on a 1/8th scale, inclusive of Show Calls, Performances, and additional rehearsals for up to 40 hours of work. - Overtime Rate of $30.00 for any and all hours worked over 40 in one week 

The Normal pay week is Monday – Sunday
