MTI’s Broadway Junior Revue: Pure Imagination (Ages 7 - 13) Position: Raue Center School For The Arts – Teaching Assistant 2 Teaching Assistants Needed Hours: Varies based on rehearsal schedule 
Stipend: $1000 per T.A. 

Raue Center School For The Arts (RCSA) is thrilled to be launching its 2025 Season of productions and is looking for 2 skilled, self-motivated Teacher Assistants to join our team for the RCSA production of MTI’s Broadway Junior Revue: Pure Imagination. Potential Teaching Assistants should be self-starters and excellent collaborators with the creative team members. The Teaching Assistants will help provide support for the Director, Choreographer, Music Director and Stage Manager in our production of MTI’s Broadway Junior Revue: Pure Imagination. This position will be quite involved in assisting in the maintenance, organization and focus of up to 30 students max. This position will also assist during the rehearsal portion of the program by leading some warm-ups, theatrical games, group activities with students, etc. 

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 

  • Meet with the Director on a weekly basis to discuss the scheduling of specific activities throughout the rehearsal process. 
  • Assist the Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager to set-up chairs, and tables, situate the piano, and adjust the physical layout of the classroom in preparation for that day's rehearsal. 
  • Attend production meetings. 
  • Help teach and mentor students from 7 to 13 years of age. Follow provided lesson plans (if applicable) or instruction from the Director, Choreographer and Music Director of the production. 
  • Oversee and maintain the focus of a room full of students. 
  • Help organize and oversee the breaks with the assistance of the other team members. Once production moves to Raue Center, Teaching Assistants will oversee the behavior, focus, and guidance of the students. 
  • Have a love for working with kids. Excellent communication and organizational skills. High energy and flexibility to tackle all different types of personalities and levels of experience in the performing arts. Theater and teaching experience a plus, but not necessarily required 
  • All production team members and designers will need to participate in strike, immediately following the final performance (Saturday, April 19th) 

 

Important Pure Imagination dates: Auditions & Rehearsal Dates: March 3rd – April 19th, 2025 Show Dates Friday, April 11 & 18 @ 8 PM | Saturday, April 12, 19 @ 2 PM & 7 PM | Sunday, April 13 @ 2 PM
