WHAT?: "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" by Steve Martin (yes, THAT Steve Martin!). Directed by Kellie Holway.
Ever wonder what would have happened if a young Albert Einstein and a young Pablo Picasso had met in a bar to discuss their ideas? Well, the "Jerk" himself, Steve Martin, did just that and wrote a play about it. A witty, whimsical piece of theatre sure to make you laugh and think.Seeking 11 actors for speaking roles and 5 actors for non-speaking movement roles.
For speaking roles, please prepare a one to two minute comic monologue (if possible, something from another of Steve Martin's plays or along the lines of Theater of the Absurd). You may be asked to read from the script as well.For non-speaking roles, please prepare a one to two minute movement piece, telling a story through the movement. You may use music if you would like (CD player and iPod capabilities will be available). In addition, if you have any special skills, such as juggling, acrobatics, mime, balancing acts, and/or any other street performer-type skills, we'd like to see those skills, too!
