The SIS Company of Tokyo will present Edward Albee's A HOME AT THE ZOO next month. The production will be directed by renowned stage performer Tetsuya Chiba. It will star Shinichi Tsutsumi, Kyoko Koizumi, and Nao Omori, all well-known in Tokyo for their work in television, film, and stage projects. Opening night is set for June 17, and the production is scheduled to run through July 19 at Theatre Tram, a short distance from the Sangenjaya Station (Denen-toshi or Setagaya lines). A HOME AT THE ZOO makes its Tokyo premiere just two seasons after its Off-Broadway debut. Though it is three-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Edward Albee's newest work, it is an extension of one of his earliest works. In it, Albee expands on his one-act play THE ZOO STORY by adding a first act: HOMELIFE, which depicts Peter at home with his wife, Ann, before going to the park. A HOME AT THE ZOO is now the only version of THE ZOO STORY that Albee will allow to be performed.SIS Company was established on July 1, 1989 by President Kitamura Tomoko.
