Omigod you guys! Elle Woods is bringing pink and lots of it to the Fallon Stage in Legally Blonde directed by Tom Ossowski. Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the hit Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture, sorority girl Elle Woods takes on Harvard Law School in an attempt to win back the love of her life. There, she must use her brains and beauty to defend famous fitness instructor Brooke Wyndham, who has been accused of murder. Along the way she discovers that true love only finds us when we learn to truly love ourselves. Featuring a book by Heather Hach with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Legally Blonde is sure to "bend and snap" its way into the hearts of audiences!

This production features School of Theatre students Ashtyn Hutchings (Elle Woods), Sean Watkinson (Emmett Forrest), Logan Mortier (Warner Huntington III), Lily Kaufmann (Paulette Bonafonte), and Berkley Jones (Brooke Whyndam). Legally Blonde also features scenic design by guest artist Tamara L. Honesty, costume design by MFA Costume Design candidate Rainy Edwards, lighting design by guest artist Don Fox, and choreography by School of Theatre Alum Lainie Munro.

Ossowski says, "This show is a blast! It is filled with great music and superb dancing that tells a moving story of a young women coming to terms with finding her personal meaning in life. Legally Blonde is one of the best musicals written in the last 10 years based on the novel and film of the same name. It is the perfect show to be presenting in Tallahassee and on the FSU campus. We could all live by the theme; find your true purpose by selflessly helping others."

Legally Blonde opened on Broadway in 2007 and is based on the 2001 novel by Amanda Brown and the subsequent MGM film of the same name. The original Broadway cast of Legally Blonde included Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods, Christian Borle as Emmett Forrest, and Richard H. Blake as Warner Huntington III. It received seven Tony Award® nominations and ten Drama Desk nominations.
