FSCJ Artist Series to Present Verdi's AIDA in January

VERDI'S AIDA is coming to Jacksonville's Times-Union Center for one performance only. On January 21, 2016 at 7:30 p.m, come and enjoy this classic opera. The opera is performed with a company of 60 including a full, live orchestra and chorus and international soloists from Europe and the U.S.

The story begins as the Egyptians capture and enslave Aida, an Ethiopian princess. An Egyptian military commander, Radamès, struggles to choose between his love for her and his loyalty to the Pharaoh and the Pharaoh's daughter Amneris. Amneris is in love with Radamès, although he does not return her feelings.
