To support Red Nose Day, the Alhambra Theatre & Dining announced today that it will donate $5 for every ticket it sells on May 21 to any performance of its show, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." To purchase tickets, simply call the box office at 904.641.1212 or on the website at www.alhambrajax.com. The donation will be made automatically and a check will be sent to the charity soon after end of business that day.

Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by simply having fun and making people laugh. The inaugural Red Nose Day will be held in the US on May 21st, 2015. People across the country will come together to have fun and raise funds and awareness.

"We have the perfect show and the perfect venue for which to promote such a great cause," said Alhambra Managing Partner, Craig Smith. "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a funny show that features kids in a learning environment - not just about spelling, but about life. It seems consistent with the Red Nose Day theme, and we want to help."

Money raised during the Red Nose Day campaign goes to the Red Nose Day Fund, which then distributes grants to charities that benefit children and young people in the US and some of the poorest communities in the world. This year, we've partnered with twelve amazing nonprofit organizations that work towards Red Nose Day's goal of keeping children safe, educated and healthy!
