Our largest production of the season is Puccini’s classic opera.
Set in Paris during the 1840s, a group of young bohemians struggle to make ends meet.
Rodolfo, a poet, and his friends, Marcello, Schaunard, and Colline, manage to have an enjoyable take on life despite their extreme financial difficulties. During the cold winter, a torrid romance is kindled between Rodolfo and a beautiful seamstress named Mimì, but love is not the only thing lurking in the city; tragedy and sadness await them all. Come join us for this tale of love and loss that is sure to touch everyone’s heart with arias like the “Che gelida manina” (tenor) and “Si, mi chiamano Mimì” (soprano) and Musetta’s famous waltz, “Quando m ‘en vò.”
Starring the talents of Betsy Uschkrat, Michael Boley, Michelle Lange, Travis Sherwood, Andre Chiang, Eric Lindsey, and members of the Mississippi Opera Chorus; with Stage Direction by JJ Hudson and Music Director by Jay Dean.
