The Michigan Theatre has announced its upcoming weekend schedule which features entertainment from Lisa Lampanelli, Francis Ford Coppola, and Renee Zellweger.
The Michigan Theatre will host showings of "Bright Star," written and directed by Academy Award winner Jane Campion. The story centers around the romance of 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne. Showings will take place 9/25, 9/26, and 9/27. The theatre will also show Francis Ford Coppola's "Tetro," about young Bennie searching the city of Buenos Aires for his missing brother. "Tetro" will play 9/27.
The Stage Theatre will hold viewings of "My One and Only," starring Renee Zellweger, "(500) Days of Summer," which garnered 4 stars from critic Roger Ebert, "Paranomal Activity," which has a limited showing in 13 cities nationwide, and a midnight showing of "Repo Man" on 9/26.
Fleming Arts will present singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco on 9/25. Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com and the University Musical Society will present Brooklyn-based rock band Grizzly Bear on 9/26. Tickets are available at the Michigan League box office or online at ums.org.
Also on sale this weekend are tickets for a presentation of comedian Liza Lampanelli on 12/5. Tickets will be available starting at 10:00am on Friday, 9/25.
