The Inspector General at Piccolo Teatro Grassi

After "the fan" of Goldoni, Damiano Michieletto signs a new Director for the Teatro Stabile del Veneto by choosing one of the masterpieces of Nikolai Gogol, "the Inspector General". Grotesque and satirical, it is a scathing denunciation of corruption. In a town of immense Russian countryside, populated by corrupt characters, profiteers, businessmen and exploiters, spreads the news of the arrival of an Inspector General. Everyone is abuzz and afraid. Let alone when it is believed that the Inspector has already arrived, in disguise. Actually what is believed the Inspector is a penniless giovinastro who understands just what benefits can be drawn from the situation.
