The great debates of our lives today began "way back when" with two great Zionist leaders: David Ben-Gurion and Zeev Jabotinsky. In a series of meetings in London in 1934, the two try to unite stances and dissipate the animosity between Left and Right, between the Revisionist and Socialist streams of Zionism.
In these dramatic encounters, initiated by Pinchas Rotenberg, founder of Israel's electric company, a relationship of friendship and mutual respect is woven between the two. In the midst of burning ideology and the frozen London cold, the two also drink vodka, eat omelets, and try to help Marusya, a young refugee fleeing the perils of Bolshevism.
